Walkbout & Partners purchases accommodations, restaurant services and other services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to Walkbout & Partners control. All such persons and entities are independent contractors. However, we ensure that the suppliers we contract have the licenses required under the laws of the land, and possess the required Health & Safety Certificates.

Walkbout & Partners will ensure smooth operation of all experiences and safaris but is not liable for delays in departure or interruption of tour arrangements caused by, but not limited to, acts of God, strikes, or any other causes beyond the control of Walkbout & Partners.

Every effort will be made to operate as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued. Accommodation and arranged sightseeing activities are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Walkbout & Partners control.

Walkbout & Partners reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a passenger should such person’s health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the trip or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other passengers, at his/her own expense. Participants who are disruptive or endanger the group or the travel experience, or break local laws may be removed from the tour with no refund due and at their own expense.

Deposits
Upon confirmation of booking, a 50% deposit payment of the total amount is required and the balance to be cleared of 60 days prior to start date.

Taxes, Tips & Gratuities
All normal room taxes and service charges as levied by hotels are included. Gratuities are not included in the programme price; these are at the guest’s discretion. We advise that amounts should be based on the level of satisfaction with the service received.

Itineraries
Accommodations including arranged game drives or excursions are subject to change if impeded by unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Walkbout & Partners control. Every effort will be made to operate itineraries as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued. Walkbout & Partners also reserves the right to withdraw an experience/activity/programme, or any part of it, to make alterations to the itinerary or the programme inclusions as it deems necessary or desirable, if delays or events beyond its control apply.

Special Requests
Specific requests such as adjacent or connecting rooms, bedding requests, smoking rooms and special dietary needs should be advised at time of booking. Please note that every effort will be made to secure a special request, however, it cannot be guaranteed.

Prices and Arrangements
Quoted prices include planning, handling and operational charges, and are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes. Walkbout & Partners reserves the right to increase prices to cover increased costs, tariffs, taxes and V.A.T. received after prices are published, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Walkbout & Partners are under no obligation to give a breakdown in costs involved in any experience/activity/programme.

Early Check-in
Walkbout & Partners requests all hotels to provide this service whenever possible; however, check-in time as a rule is mid-afternoon at all hotels. Consideration of early check-in is dependent on availability.

Active Elements
Some active elements have been incorporated into select itineraries. To enjoy the trip as intended, a minimum level of fitness is required. Walkbout & Partners will require prior notice if any participant has any physical or other condition or disability that could create a hazard to him/herself or to other members of the group. Walkbout & Partners reserves the right to decline acceptance of anyone who its Partner/supplier(s) consider unsuitable due to fitness level. Should you have any questions or need any clarification about a specific experience/activity/programme, please ask for details at the time of booking.

Cancellation Charges
In the event of written cancellation, the following forfeiture of experience/activity/programme cost will be assessed based on the number of days prior to programme departure that the cancellation was received:

90-60 days prior 20% of the cost
59-30 days prior 50% of the cost
29 days or less 100% of the cost

Cancellation Charges for Extra Services
Additional hotel nights and other extra services booked in connection with Walkbout & Partners experiences/activity/programmes are subject to the following:

Cancellations received 91 or more days prior to the service will be refunded in full;
Cancellations received 90-45 days in advance will be charged 50% of the cost;
Cancellations received less than 45 days in advance will be charged 100% of the cost.

Air Fares
International airfares as a general rule are not included BUT can be included in the programme costs if required. Walkbout & Partners have special agreements with many airlines and can offer quotations from any gateway. All international and domestic air fares are subject to change and availability at the time of reservation.

Passports
It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure that all their visa and passport requirements are met. All travellers should be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond their entry date.

Visas
Visas may be required for most passport holders. However, it is suggested that you consult your local Consulate/Embassy on visa requirements

Health
Health regulations for some countries visited may require proof of inoculation and/or vaccination certificate; such certificates should be in your possession throughout the entire tour. It is our recommendation that you consult your personal physician for additional information. Walkbout & Partners will not be held liable if you do not have proper vaccinations/inoculations.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase a travel insurance for the duration of your tour in case there are any unforeseen circumstances e.g. delayed luggage, cancellation of flights leading to loss of holiday time, loss of personal effects, medical expenses while on the tour, and other factors that may lead to the cancellation of your tour.

Rates & Fares
Unless otherwise indicated, all rates shown are in United States Dollars and are per person sharing a double/twin room. Quoted tour costs are based on the rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes applicable at the time of preparing your proposal. Walkbout & Partners reserves the right to increase tour costs to cover any increase in Park Entrance Fees, Air Fares, Taxes, and fluctuations in foreign exchange currency.

Baggage Allowance
Baggage allowance on light aircrafts to and from parks and reserves is strictly limited to 15 kg per person, inclusive of hand luggage, in soft sided bags. Excess baggage or freight will be charged at the prevailing rate and only carried subject to space availability.

Tour Price Exclusions
Your tour cost does not include: air transportation (unless specifically stated as included), visa fees; any immunizations (If required); health certificates; airport taxes and country departure taxes (if applicable); all items of a personal nature; drinks, beverages and meals not specified; gratuity to tour escorts and driver guides; excess baggage charges; insurance; excursions not included on the itinerary; laundry; room service and any other items/services not listed on your confirmed itinerary.
